  1. That’s the problem with all the companies CEOs. They run them to the ground but then get “golden parachutes”.

    The contract should be paid if such don’t put a dent in the company finances. In this case would be “let’s solve the problems we have first and then when we start having profits we pay what we own to previous leadership.”

  2. Imagine if as the leaders they had to actually pay, instead of being paid for the failure of the company. That would be motivating, I’m sure.

  3. He brought the company to the brink of bankruptcy and gets a handsome reward. That’s the fundamental problem with the Japanese management system.

  4. lol literally the easiest job ever being CEOs you can run a company to near bankruptcy and still get paid a ton yet all the employees take the brunt of all the mess these guys cause. what a joke.

  5. Guy almost bankrupted the company, got millions in compensation. Probably as a thanks for ousting Carlos Ghosn. True Japanese Patriot.

  6. That amount was probably written into their contracts. Retirement 退職金 pay for higher ups is almost always ridiculously huge.
