Last night, when I renewed my subscription to watch some New Japan, I discovered that my credit card transaction would be processed through Google Play, or whatever the service is. I use an android tablet to watch the shows.
The timing, frankly, could not be worse with Google getting cozy with an incompetent American fascist regime. I am not sure how much money they lose on each transaction now, compared to what they would have had if they'd gone with a different service or developed their own.
I've wanted them to have such a system for a while, as I am always losing my debit cards. I replace one every four months or so. But this…is not what I would have chosen.
