Hey all! We are a group of 7 from the US staying through the weekend and we made a major mistake in not getting an international drivers permit as planned.
We had booked out our stay and days assuming use of a rental which is no longer an option. With such a big group it’s very difficult to find large enough taxis, and our more remote stay makes public transport rough (Nakadomari, Onna).
I know we messed up and we will just roll with what we can – but appreciate any advice in charter companies/day tours or other options on how to best make our way around. Thank you in advance.

Look up the Okinawa Airport Shuttle Bus. It should get you from airport to the area. Can get you to the aquarium if you want, or down to Naha, where you can take the monorail and see the city for a day.
You can look up private tours on klook. Or im sure your hotel would provide tour services.
Also, if you put Google maps in public transport mode when you’re looking at directions, it has all the bus routes and there’s a large number of buses that crisscross the island Google maps makes it really easy to see all the schedules and use
