Hello 🙂
I've read the Healthcare guide for foreigners in Kyoto, which was hugely helpful and thank you to the people who put this together.
However, I have a more specific question which I wanted to ask: specifically, could anyone recommend a transplant nephrologist (kidney specialist) in Kyoto? I'm moving to Kyoto for work and I need to find a dr who can assess kidney function and prescribe and monitor immunosuppresants every 3-4 months.
I will be working as an academic at the University of Kyoto and will be local to that area, however I am more than happy to travel for treatment.
Thank you for any help or advice.

Can’t say I recommend them as I’ve never needed a kidney transplant but try Kyoto Medical Center.
It’s a fairly large hospital.
Did you search and find nothing? Because the first place I thought to look, Furitsu Byoin (Kyoto Pref. U. Of Medicine Hospital) has a Nephrology Dept with chronic kidney disease care and transplant management.
