  1. NOVA seems to be getting worse, dispatch companies still pay not enough, police background checks and some form of regulated TEFL cert should be mandatory. University pay still is stagnant.

  2. Pay is low but Japan is nice. I’m able to afford living on my own and take about 3 trips a year. The job is usually pretty fun, the kids are enjoyable, my JTE’s are all pretty cool. Minimal complaints. Only starting to wonder “what’s next” as financially speaking there’s not much of a future here.

  3. I’m teaching drama soon, but trying to find access to English language performances (of anything) is a nightmare even in Kansai. I’d really like to recommend students go check out some sort of play or stage production even if it’s not in English, but the only things that seem to happen semi regularly near me is the Takarazuka Revue.

    I’ve never been. It seems to be more musicals instead of more “serious” plays. Does anyone have any suggestions?
