I fully understand this Balance of Power booking of having House of Torture become the counter balance to the now buffed up Hontai.
But DAMN, in storyline one of the main problems I’ve had with HOT recruiting many people is… there isn’t a good reason in Kayfabe for anybody to believe Evil will take them to the promise land.
Suzuki AT LEAST had some fear factor in Kayfabe that made the other psychos follow him. Evil till last year was such a big loser that at times you even wonder why Narita (who won his first never 6 man titles by easily subbing House of Torture), Sanada (who’s literally bested Evil in high stakes feuds) and Douki (who was doing VERY well before all this and easily outsmarted SHO) , Kanemaru (who has notorious moments of out heeling and outlasting SHO either in a count out victory or by beating him in like 2 minutes) Owens and Fale (who just watched the Wardogs win the WAR against House of Torture) would think “shit… time to go join the goth guys with a losing record”
Evil must have some Heyman levels of Charisma Points. His and Don Callis’ Persuasion modifier must be the biggest in wrestling right now.
But perhaps I’m nitpicking , it’s wrestling, who cares tbh. Freaking Don Callis is out here putting together an Army of all Armies in AEW as well. Heyman managed to CHARISMA Check Bronson Reed into working for Rollins somehow.
