My wife and I are moving to Japan in January on a business manager visa. I plan to work with a real estate agent as it gets closer to that time, but just curious if anyone has experience in renting a house in Tokyo?
- Do people do 1 year leases? I’d be happy to do 2, but my initial visa will likely be 1 year and then need to renew.
- If I offer to pay the whole year upfront is that more likely to get someone to rent to me?
- How hard is it to find a place with small private yard, any size works.
