  1. I really don’t get the “thrill” of vandalizing a vending machine of all things. What’s even more shameful is that it’s a woman who did this.

  2. Chinese tourists have a reputation basically everywhere and much of it is deserved. The governments love their tourism dollars, but the locals, not so much.

  3. Another day, another tourist being a fuckwit making us all living here look bad.

  4. Yeah this is messed up but then again we don’t live in paradise guys. Good people and bad people exists in this life. Hopefully they catch the guy or women whoever did it and deal with them accordingly.

  5. Perhaps it was too many beverages prior to the incident. That shochu-laced coffee they’ve got is some strong stuff.

Now, if she tried this in a US airport, I am pretty sure it would be a taser and a trip to El Salvador…

  6. fine or put them in jail for a day or two so they learn consequences.

in their homecountry such things pretty much tolerated so you knoe how they normalize such behaviour

  7. This happened earlier this month at the Naha airport here in Okinawa. This Chinese lady was just freaking out on the vending machine. When employees tried to stop here at one point she would calm down and start going crazy again. That 2 minute clip doesn’t even get all the action.

  8. I am totally turning these people into ads for my business. I don’t care if they don’t approve of me using videos of them or not.

  9. Chinese mainlanders are spoiled as they are most often are the only child in their family so they have a “little prince” attitude and feel like they can act out like a spoiled child when things don’t go their way.

  10. > Footage shows a woman, identified by bystanders as likely being Chinese,

This is some weak-ass reporting. It’s not enough to hatefully fixate on a racist stereotype, not even to assign that stereotype by what amounts to gossip, but the “likely” in there shows the writer couldn’t even be bothered to get confirmation of the bystanders’ assumptions before publishing their racism. This is sub-tabloid level publishing.

  11. I’m so glad that they specified exactly WHICH tourist it was! Because usually most Japanese media companies just classify them as “a foreigner” which could be anyone from any other country, thus giving all of us who work hard and abide by the rules and Japanese laws a very bad reputation!

  12. And the lady in Italy with the oversized luggage recently throwing a tantrum

  13. I saw a Japanese person committing a crime here in Japan. Why isn’t there discourse regarding the issues Japanese people cause in Japan and what to do about the Japanese problem…

  14. Does this count as news? I’m sure if you take a country of 123 million people and you inspect everything that everyone does, you’ll find a few knuckleheads who do stupid stuff. Articles like this just reinforce xenophobia.

  15. Shit behavior but it seems where they are from isn’t confirmed. Just saying Japanese people do have a bad habit of immediately assuming someone behaving badly is a foreigner.

I have seen plenty of drunk angry Japanese salary men kick a sign or a vending machine, putting a proper rrrrrroll on those Rs.
