Bar or club to befriend other foreigners in naha?

My first Friday in Naha and my traveling companion hurt himself surfing and don’t want to go out with me. Are there any bar or club that is known for having a lot of foreigners or locals who are open to new people?

  1. I go to Howdy Irish Pub every week and I always end up talking to someone. On weekends I also go to Soul to Soul after Howdy for dancing. It’s a small and cozy bar that gets pretty crowded, mostly with japanese but some foreigners too. The music is internationally known and easy to dance to, I always felt totally comfortable there. They are a few blocks away from each other in Kokusai Dori, if you go to any of those tonight we may meet 🙂

  2. If you’re into martial arts, I’d contact James Sensei at Asato Dojo in Naha. They’re just off of Kokusai Dori across the street from Shureido. Even if you don’t do karate, martial artists on the island are some amazing people!
