  1. I don’t know about you guys, but my mood really improved today after a spicy chicken curry rice.

  2. Well, this could’ve read as __Japan could be worse__ if they had a different diet

  3. Are you trying to tell me that the The Japan Institute for Health Security found the Japanese diet healthy?! Who would have seen that coming!

Of course any diet these features fresh, minimally processed foods like fatty fish, tofu and seaweed is good for you. Unless they did some weird double blind study where they let people eat like shit and feel terrible, I would imagine that people who pay attention to their diet and focus on a Japanese diet, which is fairly healthy to begin with, are already in a pretty good headspace.

  4. Eat a moderate balanced diet instead of fast foods with a large soda and you will feel better. Who could’ve guessed.

  5. I think the takeaway here is fresh, unprocessed foods contribute to better health?

It has nothing to do with Japanese diet per se.

  6. Looks like 毎日新聞 is finally ready to start their fad diet phase and become toilet paper.

  7. Im not a big fish eater, this meal set would definitely make me more depressed.

  8. Why does this feel like that one time some TV station claimed that Natto makes you lose weight?

  9. Idk about you guys but famichiki and strong zero instantly cures my depression

  10. So eating semi-healthily and not in excess can help with depression?? Mind blown.

  11. All the ghosts of the people who committed suicide would probably disagree with that.

  12. Japan may not be in the top 20 highest suicide cases in the world anymore, but I dunno, I kind of doubt that.
