Working in Tokyo

Hi everyone!!! I hope I am writing on the correct sub.

I will give you some context. For personal reasons, I would like to move to Japan next year and would like to get “full” work experience, which would effectively mean leaving the job I have now and finding one directly in Tokyo (I had also thought about a full smart job there, but it seemed like a complicated option). I tried to make a pass with my company to ask if it would be possible to work in smart for short periods, but due to insurance issues they gave me spades. Since February I have done nothing but send applications on linkedin for a variety of positions, but I only get negative feedback. This has demoralized me a bit because even though I don't know Japanese, I still have several years behind me in consulting in globally recognized companies with even international projects (as a Project/Portfolio Manager and Agile Delivery Manager)

In short, I realized that the approach I have been taking up to now is not working. I was therefore thinking of personally contacting HR on the spot to propose my own spontaneous application. At this point my question is: In your opinion, is it better to contact via message via LinkedIn to HR or send an email to their work email?

I have found little info about this on the internet and would love to have an opinion from those who work in HR or those who have been in a similar situation to mine!

PS: I am aware that Japan does not have an easy job market and that not knowing the Japanese language is a big limitation, so I try to target companies with a more international perspective
