Today, I decided to go out for a quick evening stroll and snack, so I some custard-almond bread from a nearby supermarket, and sat at the Kamo river to eat it. I'm halfway through the bread, and BOOM. In less than the blink of an eye, the wrapper was on the ground, and the bread was missing, and a Kite was flying away from me. It took me a whole 10 seconds to process what just happened.
The speed and accuracy with which it went for the kill… It snatched the bread out of my hand without even touching my skin! Does this happen often here? Do people just not eat on the river banks?
