Working Holiday Visa Application – Canada

Hi everyone

I plan on applying for a working holiday visa in the next little bit to move to Japan end of December of this year. I live in Canada and requirements are return ticket or enough funds (which I have).

My question is, do I need to book a flight there (to Japan) to send with my visa application? I do not want to book a flight before the visa is approved (multiple reasons but I have points for a business class ticket I can use but it would be non-refundable lol.)

Anyone have any experience with this? If I can just include the ticket I plan on purchasing and extra funds instead to Japan?
