  1. wasn’t last year’s summer the once-in-a-decade as well? it was hot til mid october lol

  2. It’s exactly the same summers every year since I arrived 10years ago

In my home country they say the same thing also but I still remember very hot summers when I was a kid

Realty is it hasn’t changed much since the past temperature-wise but everyone believes it gets warmer and warmer which is not true

Summer stays a bit longer though

  3. > once-in-a-decade heatwave for the tenth year in a row

    yes, a tropical Japan

  4. One sign is more and more male Japanese are now using UV umbrella unlike before.

  5. Once in a decade lol same temp as last year ifs currently 28c here in near narita.

  6. “Japan experienced its hottest June ever, with the average monthly temperature being 2.34 C higher than the standard value, according to the agency.”

However you want to statisticize it, that can’t be good.

  7. “…including 38.3 degrees Celsius in Kuwana, Mie Prefecture”

The last summer I lived there it was high 30s every day in August, except for the days it was 40+

Miss Kuwana, don’t miss the heat.

  8. *Once in a (insert arbitrary period of time)*

    Yeah. Heard that one before.

  9. “Once in a decade” okay well it’s going to be an annual thing now so lol
