Can anyone be kind enough to enlighten me on the current status of the Nago Fishing port and the reason for the postponement of the 44th Summer Festival 2025?
My husband and I have booked our flight to Okinawa for our honeymoon during late July – early August and we have booked a 2 night stay at Nago on the last weekend of July specifically to enjoy this years summer festival in Nago. The Nago City Commerce and Industry Association has recently announced the postponement of the event for reasons that haven't been specified.
Since we would like to attend a summer festival, we might be changing our plans or cancelling our stay. Do you have any recommendations on other major Summer Festivals on Okinawa Island in the last week of July? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, we won't be renting a car.
