Secretary of State to send 100 U.S. tariff documents to “country with little trade volume”

On July 6, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent said on CNN that the U.S. plans to send around 100 notices to small countries with low trade volumes. He said many of these countries "haven’t even contacted the U.S." Japan is likely not included in this group.

Bessent also said these 100 countries are being charged a flat 10% tariff.
