Still learning more about sushi – can someone please help me ID the fish in this omakase set I recently had for lunch?
Was this good value? The entire set was $36 + tax and tip.
I’m not sure what the fish in the roll was (the server didn’t know either). Could it have been toro, which I’ve never had before? It tasted the same as the nigiri on the far left – very oily and fatty.
My favorite here was definitely the shrimp and ikura. It was so sweet and fresh tasting, not fishy at all. But besides that one and the salmon, I’m really not sure what any of the other fish could be.
