me (a Philippine citizen) and my husband (American Citizen/US Marine) just got married last April. he’s stationed in Okinawa and his contract ends next year. he volunteered for recruiting before we even got married. we are in the process of getting me to Japan to live with him but they’re saying they cannot add me to his orders and come to Japan since when he submitted his orders (volunteering for recruiting) I wasn’t on it. he also tried to do tour conversion and they’re not approving it since again, he volunteered for recruiting beforehand. he leaves for stateside next year, what is the best thing to do? it already sucks that I cannot go to Japan to live with him and it would suck more if I can’t go to stateside when he does leave. but at the same time I really wanna be able to live in Japan with him. any advice please?
