Hi everyone! I'm new to this sub and really happy to be here.
I've been dreaming of going to Japan for a few years now. I live in Canada, where it’s gloomy for about 7–8 months of the year, so I really need some sunshine every now and then. I'm from the Levant, so heat is not really a worry😅
That said, the only time I could travel this year was at the end of August, and I’ll be heading to Okinawa. It’s also the only time I can bring my parents on vacation with me, and I really hope they can relax and enjoy themselves.
But I’ve heard late August is prime typhoon season, and I’m starting to get a bit anxious that we might not see much sun during our trip. Checking the weather apps don’t help either😭
If anyone’s been around that time and can share their experience—or just offer a bit of reassurance—it would really mean a lot. Thank you!
