My English handwriting is awful, and since I’m going to have to practice writing Japanese a lot in any case I might as well try to improve. Thing is, every chart I see is different, some characters are connected and some aren’t. Some seem to combine strokes more like cursive and others have a clear distinction.
Is there anything that’s more common or conversely would look really odd? Or is it more of a preference?
Basically I don’t want to be stuck writing in the equivalent of Times New Roman.
