A question about passport stamps with a Working Holiday Visa

So this may be a silly question, but I've recently got the Japan working holiday visa (I'm from the U.K.) and before I go, I have a trip to Italy booked.

I know I have a year to enter Japan from the date of issue, so I have until next summer, but when I applied on the Japan consulate website, it said I had to have two blank pages for the visa to be issued, and the visa is only on one page and the page to the left of it is blank, so would it be okay for my passport to be stamped in Italy there or should I ask them to turn to the next page and do it there?

Just because I was wondering if when I arrive in Japan, they want the page next to the visa blank to put anything. When I looked up what happens when you enter Japan on a WHV, it seems that they just print your residency card and don’t put anything in your passport, but I wanted to double-check to be safe.
