Sanseito Holds First Campaign Speech in Ginza; Foreign Tourists Express Confusion Over “Japan First” Slogan

On July 3, Sanseito leader Sohei Kamiya gave his first campaign speech for the Upper House election in Ginza, Tokyo, announcing the party’s slogan: “Japan First.” The area, bustling with foreign tourists enjoying shopping, saw some confused and puzzled reactions from those visitors.

The speech took place in front of the Ginza Mitsukoshi department store, where supporters of Sanseito gathered. Mitsukoshi staff wearing security armbands were busy managing crowd and traffic control near the store entrance.
