Do you mean legally? What status are you on currently? If you already have a work visa changing to HSP doesn’t affect the start date. If you were on a status that doesn’t allow work, or waiting on change from student post graduation, you can work as soon as it is approved.
If you just mean in general, that’s pretty much up to the individual company how they handle start dates after the employee is legally allowed to work. Should be fairly quick I would imagine?
