Tokyo recommendations thread: Italian cuisine beyond pizza

We've had several threads about pizza, but there's much more in Italian cuisine than pizza. What's your favorite non-pizza Italian restaurant or izakaya?

Don't just drop a name, tell us what's special about the place and why you love it.

Bonus point if you share the google maps link.

This is part of a series of weekly threads with recommendations in and around Tokyo. Find the archives in the wiki or through the search.

  1. Mamma’s Luisa Table.

Pietro is a lovely guy, used to work in a Michelin star place then opened his restaurant.

Pasta made from scratch, good wine and good atmosphere, not your typical upscale snobbish place.

The menu is seasonal, so you have a reason to go back.

I do think that his place is better than most of high end restaurants even in Italy.

  2. [La Bisboccia](https://maps.app.goo.gl/7hedpXuRWq9d3p2h9?g_st=ipc) in Hiroo. Menus change weekly/seasonally based on available ingredients. Everything is hand-made and just tastes so homely. Some waitstaff, chefs, and bartenders are Italian too. It’s also very typical for the Italian embassy to hold dinners or meetings here. Very expensive though.

[Eataly](https://maps.app.goo.gl/P1C4qpJA47PK9Y187?g_st=ipc) is also very good. Ginza was the best branch we’ve tried in Tokyo. Expensive too.

  3. Da Nino in Nogizaka. Mind you, I haven’t been there post-COVID but pre, it offered great Sicilian food.
