South African Entry Visa Application from Tokyo

Did any of you apply for a South African visa from Tokyo?

I have to apply for an SA Visa to join a fully funded summit. Even though my full trip is sponsored, the SA embassy told me via email that I have to submit:

"Proof of sufficient fund (in the form of the most recent three months' bank statements). Please note that bank statements from the internet are not acceptable. Please bring the bank statements issued by the bank with the bank stamp.”

My bank gave me the bank statement in Japanese, which is 7 pages long and it's super expensive to translate to English. My question is whether submitting my Bank Statement in Japanese and also showing the English version of my Employment Letter is okay or not.

In addition, my Japan work visa (Humanities/Engineer) also expires at the same time as the summit. The SA embassy previously mentioned that in that case, I should apply for my Japan visa renewal first, and then submit proof of the application for extension of period of stay when I apply for the SA visa. The only proof of that is the red seal the immigration gives on my Residence Card. I was wondering if it's okay to submit the sealed Residence Card, translated to English.

Any suggestions or advice would be hugely appreciated. The SA embassy was not very communicative, that's why I'm asking here. Thanks.
