Power bank that caught fire on Tokyo loop line was recalled product

TL;DR A recalled power bank, part of a batch of 39,300 sold between 2019 and 2021, caused a fire on Tokyo’s Yamanote loop line, injuring five people and disrupting train services. The Consumer Affairs Agency reported 16 fires involving this model since 2021.
