I had applied for a PR in 2023. This month my visa was set to expire. I applied for the visa renewal by early July. Last week my PR was issued. Now I get the notice that visa renewal is approved.
Can I just ignore that, now that I’ve got the PR? I applied for PR in Tokyo and visa renewal in Yokohama.
UPDATE – I was able to call the immigration office. I need to send a withdrawal letter to the immigration office by post. There is a standard format for this available in the immigration website
