Hello! I am currently 20m and my partner is soon to turn 21. We both (more me than her) has an interest in moving to Japan. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and I feel at my age I don’t want to waste my youth stuck in the same town I’ve lived in for my entire life. I love everything Japan and I’ve been researching the country’s lifestyle, economy, politics, etc. The only thing stopping me from packing my bags is my current lifestyle. Me and my partner make a comfortable amount a year together (shared income) and live together. We share one car under my name which I recently got and is currently financing. Her family is out of the picture and mine isn’t financially available for me as a back up if things go south. We both have pretty solid jobs, and it seems stupid to just start new as we are doing good. But I still have this urge as an adult and as somewhere I plan to be to go. What I’m really trying to ask is if I should give up and stop thinking about it, if not than am I in a position to do be able to this? I’m currently working as a server and she works retail. Neither of us have any college experience. What are the biggest set backs and what would be the biggest challenges if I did go?
