Hello everyone,
Currently, I'm studying at a language school in Japan and am interested in applying for an undergraduate program in engineering at Osaka University starting in April 2026. Areas of interest to me are computer science, software, and AI. There is a stand-out reputation and location of Osaka University in my mind while researching universities, but I still have a few things I cannot put my finger on. I wonder if somebody here knows anything or has experience with their undergraduate engineering programs and acceptance of international students and IT courses. Is it an investment well worth its price, and can all of them, meaning education, job prospects, and overall international student life, be paid for?
One concern I have is that my student visa will expire in February 2026. So I’ll need a certificate of enrollment from the university as early as possible to apply for a visa extension. If anyone has experience with how soon Osaka University provides this kind of document after admission, please let me know. One more thing I'm trying to find out is if Osaka University offers scholarships to privately financed international students. I would appreciate it if anyone knows about any scholarships and financial aid and could share info or links.
Thanks a lot for reading! I really like Osaka and would love to study there, so any help or guidance would mean a lot.
