In Kanie Town, Aichi Prefecture, a Iranian man was arrested for allegedly having methamphetamines with the intent to sell. The police arrested Wahid Azadvand, a 38-year-old Iranian national, on suspicion of possessing about 0.5 grams of meth in a hotel room on July 16. Acting on a tip, officers searched the hotel and found Wahid hiding behind a desk propped against a door. Despite his arrest, Wahid denied the charges, saying the meth was just there. Police also found suspected cannabis and 11 syringes in his possession and are investigating further.
