Recently, I've been interested in drinking extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) for its longevity benefits. While I don't care if it's organic or not, I do want to make sure that the olive oil isn't being cut with anything harmful and gone through some government oversight.
I bought a couple of bottles from different brands at LIFE. But their labels are all different. The Japanese EVOO in the clear plastic container didn't have any stamps at all. The European EVOO brands were sold in dark glass containers. All of them have an "EU agirultural product" stamp. The JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standards) logos are all differnt. There's JAS, JAS (ICEA 111), JAS (ICEA 200), JAS (BAC).
Does anyone know how to interpret why there are different stamps for the same type of product? Thanks.
