Osaka Expo ticket sales reach operating expense break-even point

TL;DR As of August 8, 2025, the Osaka Expo sold 18,095,703 tickets, surpassing the break-even point for operating expenses. The Expo association aims to sell 23 million tickets by October 13, 2025.

  1. I went for the night tickets. You can enter from 4pm during the summer. Wasn’t a bad deal for the price. You have to plan to see just two or three pavilions though. I might go again, and I’d go just to eat a bunch of food from countries I can’t normally get food from in Japan easily.

  2. That makes me happy to hear. This feels like the first big global event Japan has hosted since the Olympics which were a financial catastrophe due to covid.
