I'll be in Japan on a student visa for 5 months.
I'm 22 years old and will be graduating next year.
Two months ago, I met a 40-year-old Japanese man online. He says he's single, has never been married, and hasn't had a girlfriend for more than 10 years.
After talking for a while, he said that he's very interested in me and would like to meet up and see where things go. I told him I'm not sure if I'm in the right condition for a serious relationship. He said there's no rush.
He then told me that he's willing to support me financially (50,000 yen a month). I asked what the catch was, and he said that I would just have to meet him twice a month and that he wouldn't pressure me to have sex.
I don't know if this counts as sugar dating since, presumably, there won't be sex involved. But in the extreme case that my school finds out or someone reports me, do you think I'll get deported?
