Any dating app or similar, but based on hobbies?

Hi,

I’m wondering if there’s any dating/friends app in Japan that focuses on more than just appearances.

It’s been ages since I last used one, but back then I found it surprisingly hard to meet people with shared interests, unless those interests were things like going to cafés or having drinks (I don't drink).

I’m not into anything super niche, but I’d love to connect with people to talk about arts, films, jazz, or video games.

In the past, I’ve dated here, but I often felt conversations stayed on very general topics: “You like yakiniku? Me too!” “You don’t drink? I like to have a drink at home after work!” “I'm a gurume, I found this café on Instagram, let’s go next time!”

There’s nothing wrong with those chats, but I personally prefer conversations on other topics.

I have also tried to meet people through meetup but again, 90% is either language exchange, drinking or hiking/sports.

Any recommendations?
