TLDR:
Got any recommendations for glasses shops with plastic frames that have shallower molded nose rests than the ones typically sold in Japan for Asian noses? (Not the flexible nose pad variety. For whatever reason, the pressure those create is also uncomfortable for me compared to frames that entirely rest on my nose.)

I always shopped JINS even in America, but after I received an order from JINS in Japan, I realized the hard plastic molded nose rests (not the adjustable, flexible variety) are significantly bulkier (deeper, wider) compared to the American JINS frames I have. Every acetate frame at JINS in Japan has a noticeably larger nose rest than the American versions of the same frames.
I thought it couldn’t be such a big deal, but it actually hurts quite a bit over longer periods of time. I uh… wear my glasses all day. I asked, and JINS (Japan) cannot / does not sell the American versions of their frames, nor can they be ordered.
