Is there any way to get my IDP in country as a U.S. citizen?

Hi there,

I foolishly did not acquire my IDP before coming to Japan and I’m wondering if anyone knows a way around that? Preferably an above board option, but I wouldn’t be opposed to, say, using a VPN to pretend I’m still stateside if necessary.
