At around 2:15 p.m. today, an Indonesian man in his 20s was swept away and went missing while playing in the Itadori River with friends in Horado, Seki City, Gifu Prefecture.

His friends reportedly tried to save him, but he was carried away by the current.

The river at the scene is approximately 30 meters wide, and the water level was said to be double its usual amount due to heavy rain.
