I stayed in Yamashina, near the canal, for 22 days in April. I fell so in love with the area that I wish I could stay there forever. Here are some pictures I took.
Yamashina is an amazing place to live. I moved to Nishikyo only to be closer to the university, though I do love this area as well.
Hi! I was wondering if it is still worth it for sightseeing or a walk as a family. I have been to Yamashina before but I couldn’t help to feel it was a place to “live peacefully while being close to Kyoto and the Lake Biwa”.
Any good spots for just walking around or eating that are worth mentioning? Or is it more like a “nice place to live in”?
I’ve noticed some Kyotojian raise their nose at Yamashina, but it’s actually really lovely and a bit more calm.
This is where I live currently. Can’t uber anything here lmao
