Edit: I might swap Himeji en Engo-Ji on day 1 with the Nara trip. And then go from Miyajima to Himeji on my way to Tokyo. Which will also save me the trouble of needing to stay an extra day in Kyoto (but I can't change the title)
Does my planning make sense? Is it advisable to shift some things around? Right now I am planning to sleep at 4 locations. 2 for 1 night and the other 2 for multiple nights. I arrive at KIX airport. So I can be staying in Kyoto (or stay in Osaka) and do daytrips to the other location.
How can I fit in an extra day in Kyoto to visit the deer in Nara from there? Then I can travel directly to Tokyo from Miyajima without having to stop?
Day 1: Arrive at KIX in the morning, go to (Hotel 1). Drop off my stuff and go to Himeji Castle, Ropeway up to Engyo-ji. (possible to move to day 3, but since I got a major jetlag (3AM is my hometown, 10AM in Osaka) I thought an active day would be best to tackle the jetlag and be able to sleep better Japanese times.)
Day 2: Osaka Castle, Shitennoji Temple, Sumiyoshi Taisha. Tsutenkaku Tower.
Day 3 Minoo Park, walk around and relax to recover from the days before.
Day 4: Arashiyama area (Bamboo Grove, Monkey Park, Kimono Forest), Kinkaku-Ji.
Day 5: Ramen Factory, Tea Ceremony, Samurai Experience.
Day 6: Fushimi Inari + Sugi Honey shop + Miyako Odori
Day 7: (Leave hotel 1, send luggage to Tokyo), Kintsugi Workshop + Temple Lodging (Stay overnight in the temple).
Day 8: Hiroshima Castle, Peace Park, Shukkaien Garden, travel to Miyajima.
Day 9: Itsukushima shrine, rest is relaxing to recover from the days before (Stay overnight in a Ryokan).
Day 10: Travel to Nara to feed deer, continue the trip to Tokyo (And go to hotel 2)
Day 11: Daytrip to Mt. Fuji, visit the Skytree.
Day 12: A full day at Yomiuriland.
Day 13: Watch a sumo practice, Teamlab and sohopping in Akihabara
Day 14: Return to KIX to fly home.
