Three men and women from Tokyo and Chiba prefectures became stranded on a variation route due to lack of skill and were rescued by helicopter.

Three people, hiking on Mount Myōjin in the Northern Alps, required helicopter rescue due to insufficient skills. The group, consisting of a 47-year-old self-employed man from Fussa, Tokyo, a 59-year-old unemployed woman from Ichikawa, Chiba, and a 51-year-old woman from Kokubunji, Tokyo, encountered difficulties on September 9 while attempting to traverse from Kamikōchi via Mount Myōjin towards Dakezawa. They became unable to proceed near Oku-Myōjin valley (around 2,700 meters elevation) due to their lack of experience.

At around 2:30 PM, the man called for help and Nagano Prefecture Police deployed a helicopter to rescue them around 5:00 PM. Fortunately, none of them were injured. According to the police, the three individuals mistakenly took a variation route without an established trail, leading them to a cliff where they became stuck and unable to move.
