I few issues at work (power harassment, toxic working environment etc.) led to me having a depressive and anxiety attack. I took a one month of unpaid sick leave. I asked my employer for a transfer to another branch as my psychologist strongly advised me to not return to the same working environment, but they declined. They only suggested that I go back to work as “they are doing their best to make the working conditions better”.
Now, I am on my second month of unpaid leave, my employer is not paying for my health insurance either, so on the top of that I pay them 40000yen/month. My contract will automatically be terminated on my third month of sick leave, because they said this is the company’s policy.
I am not the first person who has experienced traumatic stress at this work place, but I kept がまん. Some people quit on their first month of employment. Some people endure until finishing their three months probation then leave.
Btw, this is an international company.
Any advice please?
