Hi all, I am planning my holiday in Tokyo as a first timer in the city and have the following situation:
- I need to be at Narita NRT T1 for a flight at 8:15am on Monday 06.10
- My plan is to take a connection from Shinjuku at 4:32 am to reach the airport 6:20am (no check luggage for me so doable)
- Since this means probably waking up at 3:30am to get ready for a 7hrs flight to Singapore, I would rather party in Shinjuku one last time, go directly to the airport and sleep on the plane.
- My plan is to leave my carry-on and backpack in a Coin Locker in Shinjuku, go party, and pick it up before going to the airport.
So far so good, but now I read that the train stations are not open 24/7! and for the Shinjuku station the only info is that some gates open at fix times and other open "from first train to last train" (Source: https://www.jreast.co.jp/estation/station/info.aspx?StationCd=866)
For reference, I have done the party and directly to airport before, so I know the risk and how to prepare in advance, my worry right now is if the coin locker would be accessible with some buffer time before the first train. The train I need is the very first one of Monday in that station.
Does anyone knows how early the station opens before the first train?, and if from one gate you can access all of the station? or do some gates that open later at fix times block parts of the station until later?
