Shimanami Kaido Logistics- Route & Luggage

Hi,
We’re planning to do the Shimanami Kaido next week between Osaka and Kinosaki. Our current plan looks like this:
• Take an early morning train from Osaka to Onomichi
• Cycle the SK over 2 days (1 night on the islands)
• Arrive in Imabari and spend the night there (I’m assuming it would be too late to catch a train to Kinosaki on the same day?)

What should we do with our luggage?

I read on the Sagawa Express site that they only offer same-day deliveries, and I couldn’t find much info about next-day delivery from Onomochi to Imabari.

Or would it be better to just use a locker at Okayama Station as we would pass there on the way to Kinosaki?

Or do you have other recommendations?
