Hey guys!
I’ll be in Tokyo early/mid November, staying near Akihabara train station, and would love to do a trip to Mt Fuji. Just wondering if it would be worth getting a hire car and drive there rather than book a tour or go via transport. I turn 25 in October and coming from Sydney, Australia so driving on the left and in traffic won’t be a problem for me same with the general minimum age to hire a car. Looking at just doing a 1 day hire car if I do. If it would be worth getting a car what company is best/cheaper to go with and also are there places you can rent a JDM for a day and are they worth it, I can drive manual but not confidently.
Another question is are there any horse riding tours around Mt Fuji or even in any scenic spots around Tokyo that are fine with foreigners? I found a place near Mt Fuji that I really like as they go up to an observation area but they don’t have staff that don’t speak other languages and the site says to only book if you can speak Japanese
Thank you!
