Hi all! First time going to japan next month with my family (myself , hubby, 2 girls ages 10 and 11).
We booked Ryuguden in Hakone (in room hot spring onsen!) For one night. I've extensively researched the ryokans that best fits my family's needs/wants, and Ryuguden fit the need. It is our #1 choice at the moment.
The more I'm planning, the more in realizing that we'd want to spend more time in Hakone and less in Tokyo.
Problem: Ryuguden does not have availability for me to add an extra day.
With that said, is it worth it to book a different ryokan in Hakone for one night, then head over to Ryuguden the next night? I hear Ryuguden is pretty far away from central Hakone.
Not sure if we're taking too much travel time just getting from Tokyo –> Hakone (Ryokan 1) –> Ryuguden (Lake Ashi area).
Basically, I'd like to explore ryokans and Hakone more, but am only able to book 1 night in my ryokan of choice.
Bonus points if you can suggest a ryokan in Hakone with :
1) space for family of 4
2) Kaiseki bfast and dinner
3) in room hot spring onsen (not just tap water)

5) available Oct 2-4 2025
