Hi all,
I just passed the 2nd interview for Kids Duo (Yaruki Switch). It went well and I like working with kids, but I’m hesitant to accept if they make an offer.
Context:
- On a working holiday visa until April 2026
- Plan is to (hopefully) start a PhD here in fall 2026
- Need a job to bridge the gap after April
- Not a native English speaker, but native-level
- JLPT N3, would like a job that helps me improve Japanese
Concerns:
- I hear many foreigners get “stuck” in English teaching, but that’s not my long-term goal
- Kids Duo = big groups of kids, might be tough for me
- They want me to switch to a work visa ASAP, but I’d rather use my WH visa as long as possible
Questions:
- Anyone worked for Kids Duo / Yaruki Switch? How was it?
- Should I accept for stability or keep looking? (Been applying for 5 months, only got this far once, still have 7 months left.)
Any advice/experiences would help a lot!
