Hi,
I'm travelling to Japan next year with a friend and we are in the early stages of planning the itinerary. It is going to be our first time there and we are trying to include as much as we can. We are doing the classic Tokyo-Kyoto-Osaka route and also stopping in Nagoya for the Ghibli park (big fans) but we are wondering if we should add something more "traditional".
We are thinking about Takayama but it is a bit far away from our main route we can only fit it in while we are in Nagoya. Is it worth going all the way to Takayama, visit the town, stay for one night and then come back to Nagoya? Or do you recommend staying a bit more to visit the nearby areas?
Thanks!
