At the beginning of this year I traveled to Japan and did went to the basic cities, Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara. I want to go back around august or maybe may, but I want to see places that are a little less advertised, I have never really heard much about Northern Japan so I have been looking for places in the Hokkaido and Tohoku regions. Has anyone been anywhere a little bit away from the main cities that are worth a visit?
