Itinerary Check: 8 Days Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka in November

Hi everyone, I’ve booked my tickets and am planning my itinerary for my trip.

I live in Asia, so I expect jet lag to be minimal

Day 1: Arrive early in the morning at Narita (5 hour overnight flight). Eat lunch, check into a Shinjuku hotel, spend the afternoon at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden. Early drinks at Golden Gai.

Day 2: Visit Senso-Ji at sunrise. Shopping around the temple. Nap at hotel. Afternoon, visit Harajuku and Meiji Jingu Gaien for autumn leaf photos. Karaoke in the evening after dinner.

Day 3: Visit Meiji Jingu Temple and Shibuya Scramble. In the afternoon go to TeamLAB Borderless.

Day 4: Take the early train to Mt. Fuji, arrive at 9am. Cycle around Lake Kawaguchi on e-bicycles. Return to Shinjuku hotel at 4pm.

Day 5: Take the early train to Kyoto. Stay in a hotel in Arashiyama and visit the bamboo forest. Spend the afternoon at the onsen.

Day 6: Visit Senbon Torii and then take the train to Osaka. Check in to Namba hotel. Eat dinner in Shinkasei.

Day 7: Visit Osaka Aquarium

Day 8: Take photos outside Osaka Castle in the morning before check-out. Take the Shinkansen back to Tokyo at 9:30am and arrive at Narita early for a 4pm flight.

I know I can’t see everything, but I built in some down time at the onsen and on Day 1 with only visiting the park. I hope e-bikes will minimize how tired we are after Mt. Fuji. I’m also a big believer in naps. Let me know if I should swap out anything!
