Japan Travel Itinerary Critique – Autumn Alps (Oct 23 – Nov 7)

October 23 – November 7th

We are traveling in this order –

Tokyo – (2) Nights
Kusatsu Onsen – (2) Nights
Nagano City – (2) Nights
Matsumoto – (1) Night
Japanese Alps – (2) Nights
Takayama – (2) Nights
Kanazawa – (2) Nights
Optional – (2) Nights Nakasendo Instead of Takayama
Tokyo – (2) Nights

Looking for feedback on whether we should sacrifice (2) nights in Takayama and an easier overall travel schedule for a bigger travel push to do (2) nights on the the Nakasendo where we would spend (1) night in Magome and (1) night in Nagiso before heading back for our final (2) days in Tokyo.
